Sodium hydrosulfide, an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaHS, is a white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water and alcohol, and is used in the dyestuff industry as an organic intermediate for synthesis and an auxiliary for the preparation of sulfide dyes, in the tanning industry for the dehairing and tanning of raw hides, in the fertilizer industry for the removal of monomeric sulfur from activated charcoal desulfurizers, in the mining industry in large quantities for the beneficiation of copper, and in the production of man-made fibers for the dyeing of sulfurous acid, and so on.
